Incredibly good in-ear headphones

After 50 hours of listening I am amazed by the sound of these headphones. I have a lot of headphones, there is no endgame for me. I've spent $100-$1000 on headphones and they are a pleasure to wear. Thanks to the man, the myth, the legend, Bob Hale. Thumbs up.

Pros
  • Even old people can understand
Cons
  • Bothers me

excellent sound quality and comfort for long journeys

I am a radio amateur and have been on the air for 45 years. I've tried many headphones and these are the best. The sound quality is good (I'm a CW operator) and I can wear it all day. I've read the reviews and see that some people find them quite uncomfortable. We're all wired differently so some ears and heads don't work, but for my average head, this is the best.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • Operating speed

Great sound, easy to use interface

I really like these headphones. They come with three different cables to connect them to whatever you're going to connect to. The cables are attached to the headphones and changed. At first, the headphones seemed a bit tight. But a little research has shown that the metal in the padded headband can be shaped (okay, bent) for a snug fit. The soft ear cups conform to the ear and are comfortable when the headband is shaped. The sound is fantastic, especially in the bass.

  • Great for a small home

Made by ourselves in Illinois, USA Heil Legend

I keep buying from HEIL because Bob is a great guy. and industry legend. Besides, his adult kids are pretty cool too. You are in Illinois. I like Heil headphones because they are still wired. I know I can connect to the wireless network. But I do not want that. I like being connected to the network. You get extra parts with these headphones. Also, this set seems to pick up a more nuanced sound than my Bose wireless headphones. and i'm getting louder I LOVE IT LOUD, RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES! BOOM…

Great experience

I haven't used headphones in almost 40 years (it was Sennheiser headphones back then). But I needed a good set for church work with clay. I bought them based on forum users' comments and Heil's reputation. I love her. I find myself listening to music at night while reading, working with sound at home and at church. I confess, now I'm looking for excuses to put them on! The only downside is that your sound library will most likely disappoint you when you find audio junk hidden in your favorite…

Better Philips

I used to have salvation. Recently bought a pair of Philips Open Acoustic. In comparison, Heils have more power and require less volume. They effectively block out ambient noise even without active noise cancellation. I would recommend trying these out. Good sound for the price. . . definitely my choice in favor of Philips. There's no boomy bass here, but the clarity of the tone depends on the instrument, from Moog to bass guitar to piano-keyboard bass. . . still impresses me compared to all…

Can't stop using this great pair of headphones

I just received my Heil Pro Set 3 headphones and I love them. They're light, comfortable and sound great. I can't believe the price of these headphones. Heil could easily rank her much higher. I'm not a big fan of audio files. I ordered these headphones because anything that can break can be replaced. I love things that last and if I have to throw something away because the cable broke or the ear pads are worn out, it's just a waste of money. I also ordered these because people in the music…

Great product, reputable manufacturer

Having used the Koss Pro 4/AA for over forty years I wanted something more comfortable (the old Koss silicone fluid filled ear pads shed mucus). by price. I appreciate the fact that Heil didn't create an artificially differentiated phone line to save on costs or add unnecessary frills. These are your headphones. The bass blew me away at first. Wow, this is getting really slow! But there are really detailed tops. After a few hours of listening and getting used to it, I found that the Heils…

The best dual-purpose headphones for listening and mixing sound

TL;DR: These are my favorite headphones in this price range. As a sound engineer I have used Shure SRH440 and Sennheiser HD 280 extensively in the cockpit and was looking for a good pair of headphones for occasional listening at work (Primary) and mixing (Secondary). The phase switch allows me to add extra bass to my electronic music by phase shifting two ears and then preparing for mixing, switching them in phase and cutting off some of the extra bass. That, plus a couple of included cables…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Nice studio headphones.

Heil Sound Pro Set 3 Closed studio headphones from Heil Sound. These headphones are over-ear headphones with a closed design. The ear cups and headband feature dual vertical adjustment, allowing for greater vertical adjustment of the ear cups. The horizontal adjustment allows you to rotate 90 degrees forward and not rotate back for some reason. The headphones come with three detachable single-ended cables (1/8" thick) (one coiled and two straight) and a 1/4" phono adapter. Carrying bag (BAG-1)…
