Not for ABF: External Accessory

Looks like a great lock. Haven't used it. I was told this was what I needed to lock my ABF TRAILER and this divider has the thinnest, longest hole I believe a cable lock to have. So for me it's a paperweight.

Looks like it will do the job well

Easy to install, a bit odd with the wrench system but no rocket science. I wish it was a little shorter, but it fits snugly enough that there is no play when our post is tightened in the hitch. I've been using it for about two weeks.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

works great and seems super strong.

seems to hold my bike rack, secure my bike rack and keep the rack secure with little movement while driving. I like that I can clip the key to my regular key fob and keep it with me while driving, safe in the knowledge that my luggage rack isn't going anywhere until I get back.

  • price
Cons

Reliable and safe solution!

This product is VERY durable and reliable. When installing on my 1-1/4" hitch I had a 1/2" gap between the lock and the hitch bushing so I bought round washers which I pressed in to eliminate the gap as well as any subsequent noise from one Eliminate side to side . Traffic. It is important to know that by inserting the key you can only unlock the locking mechanism. In my opinion, a lock is an elegant solution to secure your towbar. Just don't lose the key!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Well thought out mechanism.

This clutch lock works well. It's rubber sealed to keep it from clogging with road debris. And I like the locking mechanism for its ease of use. Just insert a wrench and you're essentially threading a nut onto a bolt. The key can be removed every 90 degrees, allowing you to gently insert it. I lost my keys and had to cut them off at my local caravan store before buying my second one. They said it was quite difficult to remove, even at their professional tool shop.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Great castle. A disadvantage and solution.

The screw lock on the saw works, the pins fall about 6 times per revolution. And to remove the lock you need to spin many times. When you pick a lock, you have to pick it about 30 times to get it loose. It is great! It looks like a pretty strong castle. I really wish there was less space between the lock and the pin. Plenty of mounting space to check the threads on the screw lock. That's why I'm deducting a star. Fill the gap with metal washers (preferably stainless steel) to avoid this…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Hard to say

Excellent lock.

I found this to be the perfect hitch lock for my Jeep. Fits my 2" square Curt hitch easily. Others have complained of rattling or a loose fit of their shafts going into their receiver - well there must be some play for tolerance differences etc. Actual play around a 2" square is about 3/32 - not bad. I filled that gap with 2 wraps of tread tape all the way around and it seals it up nice - actually I had to tap it with a rubber mallet but now zero/NO bevel and hardness all around As for the lock

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • The list will be long.

The 1.25 " item described and pictured is NOT the one supplied.

I bought this product for my 2006 Subaru Forester. The product *NOT* the same as in the photo or in the description. The description says 1-5/8" internal width, and the picture shows a "tight" fit on a 1.25" hitch. Again, this is *NOT* the case. Internal width is 1/8", resulting in too much play in the stem length of the standard (and pictured) 1.25" hitch. I thought I received a defective part and emailed Heininger Support. To their credit they still have am replied same day but ultimately…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Faulty

Great hitch pin, holds my bike rack in the back of my truck.

Summary: I love this hitch lock pin. I use it to lock my hitch bike rack to the back of my 2004 Ford Explorer with a 1.25" receiver. Fairly easy to install (see my concerns below) - No manufacturing defects. - Sturdy and no play in the standard 1.25" receiver pin hole on my truck. The Bad: - When I bought this locking pin, I didn't realize that to unlock the trailer pin you had to insert the key and then unscrew the key cylinder to unlock the pin from the trailer. (that's not fast) -- Better…
