absolute favorite scent

I'm a smell person, I love smells. and that smell? Holy Christ, my mate is good. I have tried most HEM racquets and this is by far my favourite. I order two cases at a time when they run out and that's about the only smell I'm burning up in my room right now.

Pros
  • looking forward to it

It smells like cologne.

Wow. This is just terrible. Someone said it smelled like men's perfume and I agree. And I don't like men's perfume. Pooh. I don't feel anything woody about it. But hey - now I have 6 boxes full of stuff. It's about good will. Let's get back to Paine's Pinon Pine Incense. It smells like camping in the woods.

Evening walk in Yosemite.

I bought a fragrance blend thinking I would love them all, but this incense is my favorite. I know it can't replicate the real scent of the forest, but it gets me there. It reminds me of the smells of the woods and the fires in Yosemite at the campground. This is perfect for me. I've shelved everything else, except for First Rain, which doesn't remind me of rain but is still nice.

Best fragrance out there

I burn a lot of incense and have for years. In that time I have tried hundreds of types and brands. Many types of incense smell just like burning wood, and many are just too sweet or musky. Hem is my favorite incense and Forest is my everyday fragrance. It has a strong, clean odor that lingers after burning. I also like Hem Precious Chandan but not for everyday use.

Nice change of pace in home decor products

I've been using the same brand of incense sticks for over 10 years. I thought it was time to try another brand. I have purchased both Forest and Moon from this company. They're a little less smoky, which I'm okay with, than my regular brand, and they're a little harder to light up. They smell nice, but I still can't find an incense company that compares to any of the Ares. Unfortunately, they no longer make any products.

  • Decent performance

Smells like cologne

I really like HEM incense, but this is the first scent that struck me as far away. In my opinion, the Forest fragrance smells like a very strong men's perfume. There is nothing "forest" in it. Smells almost like "Drakar Noir" cologne. I still gave it 4 stars because it's still a good quality incense stick. Nice and thick, burns for a good amount of time (20 minutes) and the evenness of each stick was the same. It just wasn't my favorite scent.

Pros
  • Finally got it

Smells good but burns badly

Moon & Forest incense sticks were bought at the same time and they don't glow or burn properly. Maybe there was a problem with the product or they sat on the shelf too long before selling, but both are disappointing. They smell nice but are difficult to ignite; need to be lit several times; spark during combustion; and burns too fast compared to other Hem products I use (Cedar & Precious Lavender). Not worth wasting time on and I have to go with a low rating because they're pretty much useless…

Great for masking toilet odors but not for aromatherapy.

I may be picky when it comes to incense sticks, but they smell awful. They smell like regular pepper. Dry and bitter. They may not suit me for infiltrating my space, but I've found them to be good at masking cat litter odors until I run out and won't buy them again. I've tried other Hem incense sticks and honestly I don't know how people like these scents. They all seem to be bitter or cheap perfumes. I used to love the old school satya incense that attracts money but it changed the smell and…
