Designed by Hercules, makers of great mic stands, I expected this iPad mic stand to be one of the best. I used it at two gigs and sent it back. It has a plastic nut holding the ball joint to hold the iPad holder in place. The problem is that you have to tighten that plastic nut just enough to hold the iPad firmly in the desired position. I recently made the switch from paper to electronic music and needed a holder for my new Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e. I have a Surface Pro 3 (11.5" x 8") and am looking for a suitable tablet holder. I saw a review that said it would work and thought it might be worth a try. Luckily it fit perfectly! If my tablet was bigger I doubt it would fit. It's so snug that I suspect differences in build tolerances might mean some of them won't fit on a tablet of this size.
