Because many products commonly used to make face masks are no longer available, if you are making a mask that uses drawstrings instead of rubber bands used. I double it over and sew it so it's 1/2 inch. It is soft and durable and well suited for this purpose. Will order again if I can still get it.

I bought this twill ribbon to use as a drawstring for cotton vegetable bags that I have given away. The band is quite strong and stable. However, my channels for the tapes were too small because there was too much friction between cotton and cotton. It was necessary to make the canal wider. My fault, not the fault of the product.
