Must have: circuit breaker panels

If you have a portable generator, you can safely connect it to your home's electrical panel. This prevents the main switch and the generator switch from being switched on at the same time. If you don't understand this, hire an electrician to install it!

Test Failed Not listed and not lab tested - Illegal

We bought 2 lockout kits from the same brand, returned them and now have to retest our house as those tests failed. They are not lab tested or listed, so damage caused by them is not covered by insurance (and they are untested). Make sure you research the seller if you buy them, lesson for me. Even when I went to return, I found that the information about the company was partially fabricated and located abroad. If my house burns down, I very much doubt Amazon will pay for a new one. It's…

A cheap and safe way to hook up your generator

This CH Series Horizontal Main Cutler Hammer Generator Interlock Kit is ONLY compatible with 150 or 200 amp panels but our panel is EATON but it worked great. It is a safety device for your generator and the road worker working on power lines when you are working with your generator and you haven't turned off the main breaker from town.
