On long winter walks in northern Pennsylvania, these mittens keep my hands warm. I haven't used them for skiing but I think they're great for that too.

It is a fake! We noticed an odd fit upon receipt, then took the gloves to the official retailer and compared the two items. There were clear differences. Lower quality leather processing, poor quality cutting and gluing of the leather, the logo is poorly made and not convex. I am very disappointed as this was bought as a gift and the recipient found it was not authentic - how embarrassing! Revain needs to do something about this counterfeiting problem, I'm losing faith in buying anything other…

I really liked the fit but I used Hestra wax religiously and the leather didn't seem to live up to its name. I read about these gloves and was very happy to use them, not sure if they are made of a different material than where they are made or here. The value for money is a bit high in my opinion. I've used different styles of gloves and of course the mittens have always been warmer, I didn't feel any warmer than any gore-tex style I've had in the past.

The quality is amazing and I love the grip with them. How can you beat the skin I mean they are very sexy. The only downside for me is that they are not as warm as my Burton nylon coveralls so I can use them on really cold days. Maybe I'm comparing apples to oranges a bit if overall warmth is a factor I might not like, that's the only reason it doesn't get five stars. I rarely leave reviews but in this case I felt it necessary. These gloves are great quality, damn warm and come with a little first time ointment. At first they looked small but with an 8.5 inch hand size size 11 was perfect after a few wears. There is also an inner glove for extra warmth. Great glove, highly recommend!
