Good system but needs better straps. These types of ratchet straps never work well and never last long. With a small ratchet strap, we are much better and safer. Something that goes on at 65 miles per hour.

Despite the lack of instructions, the product is easy to assemble after looking at the photos. Once mounted on your racks they don't move at all which is really nice. Additional straps and hooks are handy for attaching your item to the pads.

Crossbars and roof bars should practically match. They look great and work great. There is Velcro and straps. Once you've adjusted the straps to your liking, simply trim off the excess and melt the trimmed end with a lighter to prevent fraying. No wind noise at highway speeds. Very satisfied with the price and the quality.

I bought this product because of the price. No disappointment! Every detail seems solid. Overlays on the crossbars fade in the sun. I won't hit her for that. Camlock straps work great. We carry a 13.5 foot Perception Tribe Kayak on our 2020 Toyota 4Runner. It might have been possible to use a slightly wider pad than the 30" but that's my fault. Overall this is a great product for the money.

Pads worked great on our SUV. They slipped around the bar a bit, so make sure you tighten them well on the bar. I had to put the cross strap under the roof through the doors and not just through the roof rack because even at 20 km/h they banged the roof loudly. Not a big deal, but it took a few tries to get it right. The cushions were a good size for my 10ft kayak.

I have an inflatable kayak and I want to go early, but I don't want to inflate the kayak early in the morning. So after setting up the camp I wanted to inflate the kayak and then just lower it into the water. These porters do an excellent job. It was possible to set it up in just a few minutes, to load the kayak from the middle and tie it on. Holds the kayak firmly, requires no adjustment. Very easy to take off after a ride.

I don't like that the velcro doesn't go all the way but it's patched. I can't wear it unless the non-velcro patches are hanging down and looking messy. Plus, the Heytrip logo facing forward means these gaps really catch the wind. I ended up putting it on with the logo on the back to avoid gusts of wind. I've been looking for secure pads for our roof rack and like that they don't rotate and are securely fastened with clips as velcro alone may not be enough. I like the long 30 inch length as it matches the width of my surfboard. The pads allow the board to fit better in the roof rails, which is what I like and wanted. My only complaint was that I felt the straps weren't tight enough to prevent both of my boards from moving and I was nervous that they might shift while driving on the freeway, so…

Bought to carry the kayak on the roof. I wanted pads because I was hoping they would lift my boat up a bit to get the antenna off the fin on my car roof. These cushions helped lift it up a bit, but what I liked best was how they more securely attached my kayak to the roof rack. Maybe removed some plastic on the plastic wobble.
