Restrictions are good for internals

They fit well and the mesh seems good but it's quite limited, I had a couple of 80mm fans and they blocked the flow significantly. You may have better luck with static pressure fans.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not fancy

Airflow Killer on Computers and Accessories

Let's face it - if you want to "filter" kill the airflow! These filters are the perfect size, easy to install, and do exactly what they advertise. But like any other filter, they noticeably reduce your fan's airflow. * I used their Noctua fans - NF12 and NF-A14 PWM and NF-A14 5V PWM

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Not Bad

Insanely limiting. Good dust filter, but poor flow increases turbulence.

These are good dust filters but they are so limited that they cannot be used directly on the fan or you will get severe turbulence noise and limited airflow. Fans run faster. I had to remove them from the fan frame and glue them to the case plate, moving them back about 15-20mm to reduce turbulence.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Not reliable

severely restricts airflow

While a dust filter is essential in dusty areas, it literally reduces airflow by half or more. I don't know if it's worth it for me with a Ryzen 9 3950x that needs serious cooling. But I cut them to different sizes and placed them in specific spots that needed to be covered since I leave the faceplate open during editing/playback. I only use Dust Master every few days. PURE PEOPLE UR PK!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Simple but effective

When you're flaunting 120mm fans, you need a filter. They go right through the mounting holes and work great - vacuum once a week and you're good to go.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Sad hardware

Excellent fan protection and a pretty good dust filter too

I have a server/workstation combo with 7 fans. 2 are exhaust fans, and sometimes (usually after opening the case to clean everything, reinstall circuit boards, etc.) the power cable (or the controller cable going to the liquid cooling system) gets caught in one of them, and as long as there isn't any damage , the noise is very annoying. And of course I also have to open up the case again and route the cable etc. Placing one of these on top of two exhaust fans makes it easy to fix this problem…

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Can I add anything
