It would be great if they made them longer

As they are exactly 120mm (fan size) and the fan is plastic there is no iron surface to attach the magnet to. They barely held onto the corners where the fans were screwed in and fell off at the slightest hit. They would be ideal if they were 160 wide and 120 high so they could reach the metal surface of my front panel. I ended up returning them and got some AC filter media. It was less than $3 and was a much better solution to my specific problem.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Ratio kit

Indoor use only - Magnetic side reversed

Looks good but beware - unlike the competition it's not reversible - the back isn't visible in the photos and that's it because the mesh completely covers the rim (others have two layers capturing the mesh, this one only has a single layer frame. This only shows its magnetic ability on the side of the rim. The mesh side is non-magnetic. So when you put it on the Place the outside of the case or a fan, you'll see the mesh side - without the border - it looks like a frameless mesh.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Weak magnet but fine mesh

Works with my power supply which lays flat and has a high metal content. Attractiveness is low but seems to be staying in place. My PWM fan that sits on top of my cooler's heatsink won't hold up. I had to use masking tape to tape the screen to the front of the fan. it could work. I tried drilling 4 holes with screws to fix it, but the screen bezel is too thick and the screws didn't reach the threaded holes in the heatsink because of that. I hope I can now see that the dust is gathering on the…

I couldn't figure out how to install

I may have technical problems or I bought the wrong product for my computer, but according to the website my computer was fine. I opened the package and found four (I think) very nice large squares of fine mesh encased in black rubber. I looked at the fan on the back of my computer and immediately gave up. I didn't return them, maybe I just didn't understand the installation. I'll keep researching, but they're not for the uninitiated.

Excellent quality screen filters for the price

For only $9 you get 4 magnetic screen filters. They are excellent quality and if you read my other review of another set of magnetic screens there are no sides where the magnetic strip is sticking out of the screen. I have included photos of the magnetic mesh filters and a comparison to the KitchenGynti 5 piece magnetic mesh filter set to the right. The magnets on it are stronger than on the KitchenGynti. I highly recommend these filters. Also, I didn't mention this in my other review, but the…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Protection

I received these to replace an old Demci filter for my supply air fans which I have had for almost 10 years. The Demci are great, don't get me wrong, but the screen grille size is a little "thinner" than theirs. Fan filters are a compromise between the amount of fine dust they collect and the airflow. The thinner the screen mesh, the more dust it collects, but the greater the restriction on airflow, and more powerful fans may be required to compensate. I chose these filters because their mesh…

Must have stronger magnets

It did not stick well to the Alienware graphics adapter front or side vents. I used some sticky opposite polarity magnets to finally get them to stick, but they still fall off easily. This is a great idea compared to those built into the chassis which are difficult to remove and clean but just don't fit.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Nothing
