They have 3/8" threads on some of the holes so you can basically twist them together to make clips, perfect 90 degree Ls and whatnot. The two devices I received are almost identical. they were measured at the ends and in the middle of each side. The 1 inch sides measured .9997 to .9998 end to end. The 2" and 3" sides were even throughout.
