Great price, great customer service and incredibly fast delivery. The mill and the indicator showed a runout of less than 0.001. Can't expect better for the price. Recommend this mandrel for every hand mill!

While it looks good I found the drawbar hole and thread were over 1/4 less than my other R8's -Collets which prevented full seating/snapping.With some effort I was able to build up a 7/16-20 thread but I still had to trim the tongue to make this collet usable.It was cheap and needed corrections left me with a workable collet, which is why I'm giving it two stars.

I had a little suspicion that it was made abroad but needed it as a last resort and decided to give it a try. The first test was to mark the Jacobs cone with a marker and check for contact. Clean the contact along the entire length of the cone in a Jacobs brand chuck (+1). Then insert it into the Bridgeport spindle and test it for concentricity using InterAid's tenth test. Less than 0.0002 indicates runout at the end and anywhere along the cone (+2). It appears to be legitimate material, more…
