Perfect Fit for My Needs

When I tried this expanding collet, it worked like a charm. The accuracy of its grip on my workpiece, paired with its ease of use, makes it a standout in the Industrial and Scientific community. Its durability is equally impressive, holding up to heavy usage time and time again. The only drawback I experienced was its price, but the quality and satisfaction it brings to my work outweighs that con. Overall, a great investment for any industrial worker.

Pros
  • Durable construction for long-lasting use and reliable performance.
Cons
  • Only compatible with a limited range of sizes, limiting versatility.

Badly made, maybe functional?

The wedge screw is poorly designed, requiring you to overtighten the collet to expand the head even a few thousandths. Might work for light cutting, but for something even remotely significant I'd worry about losing your work piece.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Available in white only

Maybe a better fitter than me.

Range is listed as .250-.468 but center hole for expansion screw is .207. So reducing it to .250 leaves a wall thickness of about .0215, so I doubt you can reduce it that much since the cutter will hit the grooves. Maybe a better machinist than me, which doesn't say much. So it doesn't work for me and I haven't tried it, so the three stars are just trying to be neutral. This might work well for a through hole closer to 0.5.

Pros
  • Clamp
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
