Tips won't stay in place

Tips easily separate from pads on a micron. Pretty useless. I would have sent the kit back but I missed the return deadline.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Just don't stop at the mic and work for promotional purposes.

I've tried all my micrometers and the sleeves aren't holding the tips in place. I had to use a ballpoint pen and it just falls out and bounces off the floor when I try to measure something. I'm not going to ruin my expensive micrometers by gluing tips. For $25 (how much I paid) I expected them to at least work. Big disappointment and waste of time.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Very Poor Quality: Micrometer

This rating is for the "Standard" version outside the US. The metal parts are of very poor quality with significant beating when attached to a micrometric anvil. In one case, the wedge, the surface that rests on the micrometric anvil, was clearly different from reality to the naked eye. This caused the part to move so much that it just slid sideways when zeroing or measuring. The thinner pin was bent resulting in point contact on one side. This set is less than 1/3 the US made version but not…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
