Looks cheap but the stitching is terrible. I was expecting something more solid. It's definitely covered in something that doesn't feel safe to touch something you're ingesting (stainless steel plating?). I will most likely return for a better product.

Incredible value for money. It is made of aluminum and therefore cannot be washed in hot water or in the dishwasher as aluminum products have a thin layer of oxide which can be discolored by strong detergents. Just wipe it with a cloth to keep it clean, it won't attract dirt and very little coffee grounds will stick to it.

It's not plastic, it's polycarbonate. The picture is deceptive, its placement in search results is deceptive as it sits alongside quality stainless steel and other metal tampers. Not impressed. The design of the product is comfortable to hold, but in its favor. I just wish it was solid, weighted stainless steel and not a coated, molded plastic thing.

This little tamper is great, it's short, fits in my hand and a pleasure to use with my Mr. Coffee. Call me lazy but I don't understand how to wash it - the tamper is only used for tamping dry coffee grounds which are immediately exposed to hot if not boiling water which should kill any germs. Why put a tamper in the dishwasher? He doesn't get dirty! I love mine - it does the job and costs the least. Ideal.

Size 50mm perfect for Mr. Coffee BVMC-ECMP1102 Cafe Barista Espresso and Cappuccino Maker. If you are looking for the best puck press this is the size. The wide end then becomes your grip and is good enough to use multiple times a day. If you keep brewing coffee, it will be uncomfortable in your hand. But it's soooo much better than the standard plastic case that comes with it, especially for $7 with shipping.

I like it - it works well and is cheap. has a good sense of touch and a wide area for stamping. Its width at both ends allows for easy palm or hand pressing. However, I haven't tried putting it in the dishwasher or doing anything other than wiping it down. The photos shared by others look like a lot of aluminum items I've accidentally put through the dishwasher. I'll update when this starts to fall apart, though. otherwise it looks like a guard and cute kitchen utensil
