Premium Nylon 3” Anodizing Mesh Strainer: Efficient Filtering Solution Review

Ordered for use in making Milk Kefir. It fits the wide mouth jars I use. Although the refills arrived crumpled and broken they still work well but I wonder how long they will last. After just two washes, I noticed that the mesh was already separating from the filter at one point. I don't handle it roughly and gently hand wash it after each use.

After reading other reviews I ordered three hoping I would get at least one good one. In one of them, the net has already detached from the plastic in several places. The other looked like he was about to break up, while the third looked normal. I don't know if they are to blame for the way they were packaged for the damage (flattened in a soft zipped folder) but it definitely couldn't help. We drink celery juice every morning, but we needed a strainer because the juicer doesn't squeeze it 100%. That works great! Our stainless steel rusted, so we wanted BPA-free nylon. That's great! In response to another reviewer: Yes, it's VERY light, but then again it's plastic with mesh, so how much can you expect it to weigh? But it doesn't matter anyway, we're passing a glass of juice, not bricks, so it works fantastic. We couldn't be happier! We use big filters for big projects.

I mainly use this strainer for green tea; put a teaspoon of tea leaves in a strainer, put on my cup, add hot water and brew. It weighs almost nothing, sits on the cup unaided, is not prone to instability and easily holds itself under hot water.
