HID Warehouse HID Xenon Replacement Bulbs Motorcycle & Powersports : Parts Review

I thought the bulb had failed but it turned out to be the ballast/controller instead. Now I keep these bulbs as spares after swapping out the ballasts on both sides. I know that one day I will need them.

This is like my third pair of HID bulbs. Delivery time was ok and well packaged. Visibility has greatly improved compared to my old bulbs. So far so good but I'll update my rating with durability.

Ordered 5000,000. These popped up quickly. Have them installed. One looks great. One appears blue. I suspect my ballast is underperforming. It's time to buy me new ballasts. UPDATE: Bought a new ballast and it's the same. I have two lightbulbs of different colors. Like 5000k and 6000k.

The bulbs themselves are ok, they are bright HID as expected. However, they are NOT 5000K. They are in the range of 6-8000K. I have ordered 2 different sets of this particular product and both are not 5000K as described and they even have a sticker that says 8000K. My image on the left shows true 5000K HID colors and LED daytime running lights. On the right are lightbulbs purchased from the HID warehouse.

The build quality was excellent. The packaging was great. If the lamps gave the same color rendering, it would be 5 stars. I would buy a replacement set! Unfortunately, one bulb produced a perfectly white light while the other had a strong blue tint. I give it 3 stars because I don't know what color they should end up delivering. Although both worked. Installed them on an E36 325i with Euro headlamps and 55w ballasts. Before installing the bulbs, I noticed a stain on one of the bulbs, as well as a crack in the body of the same bulb with a stain. From previous experience I've been told not to touch the bulb because hand oil could crack it when heated, so I decided not to try to clean the stain myself, but to install it as is and to see what i get. .They work as expected. The spot bulb (installed on the right in the picture) is a little warmer

--- Updated 7th March 2018 ---- I have installed the wiring harness on my car for HID and have not had any flickering or disconnecting issues to date. The flickering of the bulbs was supposed to cause premature bulb failure because the car confused the voltage needed to run the discharge bulbs. I will monitor how long these bulbs last in my car as there is a 2 year guarantee I expect it to last 2 years.
