I bought a pair of these batteries for my BF-F8HP. When they arrived, I noted that they slow-charged in just an hour each but didn't think too much about it. I used a fully-charged battery for a repeater net session recently and discovered that after just 35 minutes of receive, the battery drained just 10 seconds into a transmit. Near perfect product, some have mentioned it doesn’t click in place, I did find it not as clicky as with the original battery and a bit more resistance to seat the battery(that’s why I knocked 1 star) otherwise does everything it promises

Great batteries for extended talk and stand-by time. Also extends the radio length for a better grip. Easy battery change-outs exactly like the stock battery.

I was worried that it would not fit my radio or charger just right, but it fits fine and works great, so. I bought a second one, even thought it would have been cheaper to buy 2 at once the first time.

I am just really learning to use this cool little radio. I've gotten CHIRP loaded on my PC and have uploaded all of the frequencies I want to play around with. The manual that comes with the radio is not very helpful but there are tons of web sites and youtube channels dedicated to getting the UV-5R up and running quickly.

Ordered these to have a couple of spare batteries for my radio and they were not advertised correctly. They were listed as BL-5L 3800mAh batteries, But I received 2 BL-5 2800mAh.Box was labeled as 3800mAh as well. Not sure if it was a factory mix up or not but a little disappointing to say the least.

Batteries did not fit properly, very difficult to lock in place and at times the contacts would not align with contacts on radio. Great concept poor fit.

I received the 2-pak practically overnight and was pleased to see that it’s exactly what the description listed. I have to monitor radio traffic for a minimum 40 hrs a week for road repairs and one pack last for at least 2 weeks, so having 2 is just icing on the cake! Unit is nice and lite, slips right on and mates perfectly with the radio. 5 STARS with out any doubt!

Works best for the farm when we're moving equipment around from the barns. Makes it easier to talk to the workers on the equipment as well.

These 3800 mAh batteries fit the UV-5X3 Tri Band HT by BTech perfectly. They snap in place securely and greatly improve the transmit time compared to the original 1500mAh battery. Being slightly longer than the original battery, they improve the fit in an average size hand as well. Thanks Baofeng for another great product!

I will be speaking to new Ham Techs. I suggest getting Baofeng BL-5 3800mAh Extended Batteries to help extend the "up time" you will want, and allow you to charge swap batteries when using your BaoFeng UV-5R. Both the radio and swap batteries are priced low enough for even a money strapped beginner to get into the Ham Radio life once you get your Ham Ticket.

Everything works well so far. Fits all my UV-5Rs and charges in the same chargers as the original batterys, as expected. Not sure about over all battery life yet as I haven't had an opportunity to try it.

They didn't lock in place properly. I had to trim the case to get them to work. I suspect it is due to faulty molding process.

I like that the products fit my UV-5R's, and the desktop chargers with no problems.I do not like that the charging port does not fit properly and must be fiddled with to charge. I also do not like that the actual capacity of the batteries is a little over half of the advertised 3800 mAh. The batteries were both cycled a few times and tested from a full charge. No complaints. Last a long time and like the larger battery versus stick smaller battery. Very tough and take a drop on concrete.

It seems like genuine baofeng merch in a oversaturated market of cheap copies its really refreshing to see someone selling the real deal, it works as promised and hasnt caused any if that issues hopefuly it will be a great use!

Only thing I don't like is the charge time. But longer usable life means longer recharge. Physics is what it is. Thanks for attention.

Excellent battery life and construction. However, as others have noted, it does not solidly clip onto the UV-5R. If "fits" nicely but does not lock. I can live with that given its greatly improved battery life. Have a bit of black tape over the tab to ensure battery does not come off. Hope they fix this in a future update!

Battery arrived with substantial charge . Left on charge overnight to complete. Life appears to be excellent. Thanks for attention.

Increases the overall size of the radio - Nice design, EXCEPT:The two small "legs" on the bottom of the battery seem a bit longer than those on the radio itself and seem to tilt the radio slightly forward when standing the radio on a flat surface or in the forward bay of the battery charger (not back against the charging contacts) - it seems the radio is always about to tip over - and I believe the radio will easily tip over if the table it's on is accidently bumped.
