Diesel mechanic best ratchet

Using it every day as a heavy duty trash truck mechanic. The power is insane, best one in my shop. Havent seen a single fastener this air ratchet wont loosen.

Pros
  • ‎Composite and Metal
Cons
  • Not recommended for use in areas with flammable materials

Bad choice for me. good for me

This tool claims to have a high torque over 160 feet per pound and it failed when loosening the lower shock absorbers bolts on a 09 Corolla tightened at 153 feet per pound. It worked on tinier bolts what is expected with other cheaper air wrenches. So I feel like I wasted my money.

Pros
  • Power Tools
Cons
  • Not recommended for use with impact sockets

In love with the torque

In love with the torque.Remember to not over tighten, or tighten when youre suppose to remove. It WILL jolt and bust your fingers. Righty tighty lefty loosey

Pros
  • ‎AIRCAT
Cons
  • May require higher air pressure than other tools

I agree with the others

This 3/8 ratchet is not for the limp wrist types. THIS 3/8 RATCHET will smash fingers if you are not careful. Finally used it today on a timing belt job. It's a little larger than I thought, but I'm still happy with this. I like the adjustable collar to change exhaust directions. It's on the loud side, but what do you expect from a monster ratchet? If you are wondering, yes you can use it like a manual ratchet to break things loose, then hit the trigger. It loosened everything except the crank…

Pros
  • Super torque, strong just as advertised.
Cons
  • May cause fatigue or strain when used for extended periods

Not made in USA as listed

I bought this for its features . But my main deciding factor was that the Revain listing shows the country of origin as USA. I just got the ratchet today and the first thing I see is "MADE IN TAIWAN" on the box. Not cool. The listing needs to be corrected as it is false.

Pros
  • Ratchet Wrenches
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to use in low light conditions

very powerful - be careful

i needed to replace the blades on my flail mower. 64 , 7/16" bolts, fine thread with nylocks. 6 years of rust and dirt. there was no way to get a regular impact in there. i thought for sure that i'd have to torch them. i bought this impact and a can of PB blaster and went to work. i got all of them. very impressed. be careful though, it could break your wrist.

Pros
  • Very powerful and the best wrench in the market here. Only heavier in weight.
Cons
  • May require frequent lubrication to maintain proper function

works great, pretty strong

works great ,pretty strong ,and it does use lot of air so you need a big air tank like at least 10 gallon.pancake airtanks are a lil to small to keep up with air demand. good product tho

Pros
  • AIRCAT Line: The most significant advances in the performance of pneumatic power tools
Cons
  • Not recommended for use with delicate or precision components

Great tool very powerful nice speed

Wonderful extremely powerful nice speed I can remove lug nuts with this on passenger vehicles that have them torqued properly. I tried because of the power in the specs it worked. This is because this ratchet does 130 ft lb normally lug nuts are 100 max. Be careful though because if your not a professional you can break nuts or bolts because of the power. I’m an A tech I use this everyday great tool. With over 20 years experience not a problem for me I even use impact guns to remove and install

Pros
  • Didn't use the product but ordered instead for the 1/2" item powerful torque wrench
Cons
  • Can be difficult to use one-handed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High air consumption

works great but you’ll need a upright compressor to use it properly because it moves a lot of air while in operation. That's my feedback!

Pros
  • Gets the job done. A high quality tool for sure.
Cons
  • Can be noisy when in use

Super tool! in my review

Advertised as ‘high torque ‘.it is! Great tool - going to have to upgrade the rest of my air tools to match! Got more than my monies worth!

Pros
  • Great quality. Great value
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to maneuver around obstacles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super tough! on my review.

This this will remove almost any bolt no matter how tight. Super strong torque and noise level is acceptable. I have had every type of air ratchet out there and they all only last for short periods before loosing their strength. I use this daily working as an auto tech and this baby holds it's own. It will break loose (including your arm if not careful) anything.Great tool!

Pros
  • Used the Aircat 805-HT when replacing the waterpump on my Ram pickup. Worked great with lots of torque.
Cons
  • May not be compatible with standard air fittings

Almost too much power

Be prepared. This is the highest torque i found. But you really have to plan ahead. Even my strongest meat eating, iron pumping, forearms like grenades can't hang onto this thing. Plan ahead and protect tote knuckles. You do NOT want your hands between this wrench and anything metal it might twist them into. I wanted power. I got power.

Pros
  • ‎Air Powered
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustment of the air pressure to maintain proper function

Pretty decent tool for my opinion

I install Waterjet cutting machinery. I purchased this tool to build 2-piece tanks (approximately 60 bolts). This tool significantly decreased the install time versus doing it by hand. The small head allowed me to reach tight spaces to get torque on the bolts. I would’ve given 5 stars but if you aren’t holding on tightly when your bolts reach peak torque it will hurt you. This tool has very little "forgiveness” when bolts are tight, so beware. Overall, it is a great tool for your arsenal and…

Pros
  • Found to be a good tool
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in wet environments

Awesome power for an air Rachet. Plus this is made in Taiwan and not China. I have found that tools made in Taiwan to be a notch "above" tools made in China. This is consistent among other tools as well. I do not plan to use this to tighten any fasteners only to loosen them. On tightening fasteners I believe there is too much torque applied and it seems likely that heads could be broken off if used to tighten. I am now a buyer of Air Cat tools since they have many air tools on the market. You…

Pros
  • ‎1
Cons
  • Can be prone to cracking or breaking if dropped or mishandled

So worth it. - my new review

It was a choice between the IR and this. The price and specs were very much the same the only difference is air cat has a two year warrantee and IR has only one. First aircat air ratchet and very pleased.

Pros
  • Worked great.... made things much easier and faster
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for heavy-duty use

I work in a bodyshop and use this for the .

I work in a bodyshop and use this for the tighter bolts on the body of the car. This tool is extremely powerful, you can feel the power it gives. It is worth the money without a doubt. Similar ratchets with the same amount of power would cost you about twice the price of this one.

Pros
  • High torque. Not for the inpatient. Will brake bolts. Slim and powerful.
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on stubborn or rusted nuts and bolts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not useful for me, but I can see why others like it

I must lead by saying that I ended up returning this product. I used it on about 10 bolts replacing a clutch, tried it on a number of others, and didn't find it very useful. I was expecting something with more oomph, not impact level, but something that could bust bolts off. This just didn't do it for me. It will throw you, so use two hands, but despite that it didn't break most of the bolts I tried it on. Perhaps on a car that isn't 23 years old it would zip bolts off. I had to keep switching…

Pros
  • Well built heavy duty as advertised.
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustment to keep it properly tightened

Really good ratchet.

I have been an auto tech since 1990 and during that time have had a good amount of ratchets. After reading reviews of this particular one, I decided to give it a go.This ratchet works. It's that simple.Plenty of torque and quick. How long it will last is up to fate.Used it for two transmission R&Rs in the first day and this thing didn't blink.Really impressed.

Pros
  • Great half inch drive ratchet a lot more torque than any snap on Mac or Matco tools
Cons
  • Can be hard to reach nuts and bolts due to its size and shape

Revainrating 4 out of 5

As advertized, if you can forgive the volume.

I use this professionaly in an Auto repair shop and it works fine. Plenty of power, but it is on the large size. Only gave it four stars because it is obnoxiously loud.

Pros
  • ‎84 dB
Cons
  • Can be more difficult to use on overhead or vertical surfaces

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall nice tool. Breaks bones not bolts.

I bought this because I’m stupid and don’t listen to the good advice on these reviews. I don’t regret buying it, but I thought it would have power to break loose bolts, but unless you have an anchor point, your gonna be sorry and even if you do., it’s not breaking anything loose. It’s nice for turning bolts because it’s not too loud, but it uses a lot of air so a smaller compressor probably isn’t enough. The build quality is really nice but a nice rechargeable ratchet is probably a better idea…

Pros
  • Ratchet: Ergonomic handle for the user's ultimate comfort
Cons
  • May require a specialized air regulator to maintain proper pressure
