Awesome Mac accessory

I got this for my 2011 15" Macbook Pro. I often replace SATA drivers on my home and work computer and a dock like this makes it much more convenient. Plug -and-Play.It has an additional feature for pro-camera users who need a fast UHS-I card reader that supports transfer rates up to 100MB/s and is compatible with SDHC/SDXC card format Function is huge for me because I hate fumbling around looking for a memory card reader for my camera.Although I don't use headphones on my workstation, I do have

Pros
  • Gigabyte Ethernet connectivity
Cons
  • Not bad

Great alternative to Thunderbolt

For those looking for a more affordable alternative to the Thunderbolt docking station, consider this Highpoint product called the Rocketstor 5411D. It connects to Macs and PCs with the included USB 3.0 cable. Like the Thunderolt dock, it offers port expansion via a single USB 3 connector and offers Gigabit Ethernet, audio in and out, a three-port USB 3.0 hub, an SD card reader, and a hard drive dock on the top. It doesn't support video output like Thunderbolt dock. Performance is slightly…

Pros
  • Three USB 3.0 ports for devices that support USB charging
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options
