Blazing fast SSD controller!

The Highpoint PCIe 8 Port Controller is a game changer for those seeking extreme performance. As a result of my tests, I determined that this controller delivers impressive data transfer speeds and supports multiple NVMe SSDs simultaneously. The build quality and thermal management of the device is also excellent. However, the only downside is the steep price tag, which may not be reasonable for everyone. Overall, this is a must-have internal component for power users and enthusiasts looking to

Pros
  • High data transfer rate and access speed with up to eight SSDs on a single PCIe slot.
Cons
  • Requires a free PCIe x16 slot and is not compatible with laptops or small form factor PCs with limited expansion bays.

Not reliable: Computer components

I've been using it for 4 days, it crashed 6 times already. Once I reboot it usually reappears, but this isn't a raid to rely on. I've had this with long but slow transfers (4 hours but only transferred to disk at 5200rpm, so almost no data) and also when transferring to disk and trying to read at the same time. My old disk raid had no such problems. The temp was under 110 so he wasn't even stressed or overheated.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

Terrible product and support!

Had high hopes for this, looks great on paper. It shows up less than half the time you start the system. If this actually works, the drive will not be able to handle large transfers, it will fail and shut down. Now you have your back to the eternal boots and maybe they will find you. This terrible reliability is matched only by the total lack of technical support over the phone. I left 4 messages in 3 days and not a single call back! I will be returning this for a refund as I do not expect any…

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Will do
