Good tight connectors with good locking. There is no chance of accidentally opening it. They must be MARINE class (water). A small amount of dielectric grease makes them waterproof. This prevents the possibility of corrosion.

Okay so they are not waterproof. They are good though and they seem to be well put together. While the connector itself has a watertight seal around it. There are no cables leading there. I corrected this deficiency by applying silicone to each drop. Now they are waterproof. The manufacturer could add this to the fork and get a dollar more.

I was converting a 73 Shovelhead and needed reliable connectors and this was just what the doctor ordered. Amazing quality and secure fit. I wanted it to be easy to use to connect and disconnect different items and this was the best find. I would highly recommend them and live in Seattle they see a lot of moisture and have never leaked.

It is said to be suitable for marine applications but it definitely isn't. I bought the plugs about a year ago and now I need to replace them all. The connection itself feels solid, but the point where the cable enters the trunk is wide open. Water gets into the inner seal and corrodes everything. I didn't even use it underwater but in the hull of the kayak. It will probably suffice as a connector. Just definitely NOT marine.

plugs are much better than I expected. A soft silicone seal is pressed onto each terminal and there is another seal on top of the connector. The plastic components might actually be AMP branded - I had an AMP lock on the connector. For even more sealing, there is a tab on the wire end of each connector so you can slide a large heat shrink tube over it. The plastic is soft and pliable, making the clasp easy to open. The crimps on each terminal also look perfect.
