There is definitely a good engineer behind this, not just an inventor or designer. Works as well in practice as you can imagine it working in theory

Love the look and design of the filter. Leaves no grinding even when you drink from it. The tea was amazing - I used loose hibiscus tea. I like it stronger and can also pour it over ice for a lighter refreshment. Recommend it to a person because you can take it with you.

I actually wanted to buy a traditional style french press for a single serve. I stumbled upon this by accident and am glad I did. It works great to make a good cup of coffee. The price is also very reasonable! Combined with a cheap Burr coffee grinder and decent beans, this ensures I'll never have to drink that horrible crap out of an office coffee machine ever again!

The filter holds the coffee grounds well at the bottom and really stops the brewing process when pressed. I was skeptical when I bought it, but found that if I poured water into this empty container with the plunger half-pressed, no water would seep down through the filter. Impressive! So don't worry about your coffee continuing to brew in the glass. The thermal insulation is also great – I usually have to add some cool water to bring it to a comfortable drinking temperature after it has brewed
