Not Worth the Price

This product failed to serve my needs. The installation process was difficult and the cable failed to work properly with my industrial equipment.

comes with 10 year old firmware

This product cannot be used with the current version of avrdude or WinAVR because the firmware is already 10 years old. You'll need another AVR programmer to flash it, leaving you as a trapped 22 buyer wondering why you bought this in the first place. an old laptop with a parallel port card that I had to dig out of a closet. I bought this programmer so I wouldn't have to dig up the old mothball system, but since they didn't update the firmware *ten years* before shipping, I had to dig it out…

Works great on Mac

I bought to program Atmega328P on non-standard boards. Although I have read and experienced that you have to burn the bootloader to set the fuses correctly when using an external crystal, I got the error message "I opens Blink - File -> Examples -> Basics -> Blink then Sketch -> Load with Programmer (I saw the delay was a few seconds when it should have been 1 since it was using the internal clock and not the 16MHz crystal I installed.
