Unreliable Anchors

I attached the 2x6 to a concrete wall and the 2x6 and garage hardware to a concrete wall. Some of the screws worked great and I don't think they will ever budge again. Some are naked. The one holding the garage door got undressed and sent me to the hospital. Not the product I want to rely on again.

Pros
  • Versatile and ideal for concrete or masonry
Cons
  • Expensive

Poor support structure

Purchased to hang a water hose bracket on a brick wall. No instructions. Got the first sentence out. Tried again and worked for about 2 months before withdrawing again. Abandoned and went with another anchor. I wouldn't use anything heavy, although the load was within advertised specs. It may not be useful for bricks.

Pros
  • Pre-drilling required
Cons
  • not sure

Very weak. The pin will click when the anchor is installed.

DO NOT BUY. VERY CHEAP. I bought this anchor to install concrete blocks. I drilled a 5/16" hole and inserted the anchor, and while I was tightening the anchor the bolt broke before I could even pull three threads off the nut. It was less than 20 ft-lbs of torque. I was surprised so I put one of the bolts in a vise and used a torque wrench and it broke about 150 inches in pounds (just over 144 inches in pounds or 12 ft lbs).

Pros
  • Common uses include installing door and window frames, installing wall fasteners, shelving and storage
Cons
  • Very Expensive
