I really like these screws, they are heavy enough not to loosen and tighten well. The head is a little lower than I'm used to and I love it. When the head is firmly seated on the board, it squeezes the wood a little to get a tighter fit. Nice reporting too. I sunk them a full 4 inches into the jaws. Neither of them opened up. I used them to reinforce a clothes rail in a dressing room that was away from the wall. The original installer didn't bother looking for studs to drill into, so it worked!
