Just get in with Dewalt battery 996

I have them in various lengths, even the longest go in easily without pre-drilling, but I pre-drill on longer lengths more to get the item straight in than not just drive. I use a Dewalt 996 1/2 cordless tool and it goes through drywall and wood studs very consistently. There was no problem breaking or stripping the torx heads on the screws, use a good low speed, high torque drill bit.

Works well with treated pine

I recently repaired parts of our backyard wooden fence that was falling apart due to frequent high winds and crappy original construction. They really did the job a lot better than the nails. We went with the #10 x 4 1/2" so that we had a good bite through of slats, transoms and 4x4 fence posts. Used almost every screw that was in the bucket, had no knife through butter problems with my Milwaukee -Wireless drive I've had a little bit.

  • Wood Screws

If you need longer decking screws

I have always used decking screws for my wood projects because of their strength and in the case of these screws a Torx 25 head. This allows the screws to be screwed in without removing the head. I also bought 5" screws for this task. If you are going into solid wood you will need to drill pilot holes. I would recommend pilot holes for any wood screw turning task. The only downside is that I didn't need the 5kg box but that was it only pack size available.quality is excellent.will buy again.

  • Fasteners
