    The chain is strong and heavy

    I use this chain when I leave my bike unattended for a long time. I like that it can be wrapped around the waist; carried out without any problems. I also like the reflective material. Sometimes I throw it over my shoulder and under the other arm. You need to make sure it fits snugly around your waist, otherwise when you get up to ride your bike it will try to slip off your waist. The only thing I wish it was just a few inches longer. This length is not enough to wrap the chain around the frame

    The best chain lock for the bike!

    This bike lock is amazing, it's a huge and heavy strong lock that can take a beating. But at the same time, I can't even tell if I'm wearing it when I'm cycling, I only feel it standing up. I wish they had a better way of securing the extra strap but I just rolled mine up and attached it to the chain and it works great even with the strap in the smallest position and a ton of strap left. You need a key in a padlock to lock or unlock it, which is what any high security padlock requires, soโ€ฆ

    I have been using and enjoying the 1st generation Hiplok for a number of years now.

    I used and enjoyed the 1st Gen Hiplock for several years until the fabric cover wore off. I expected the second generation to be at least as good as the first, if not better. The reflective case met my expectations! But I quickly found that this new design is way, way worse. What? My old hiplok attached easily with velcro at the waist. This new Hiplok is attached with a plastic hook that keeps snagging on my spokes when I thread it over the front wheel. This chain is also slightly shorter thanโ€ฆ

    Probably too much lock for the average bike

    Barring a small buying scruple (just because the chain is so hefty and so short compared to what we're used to), this lock matches or exceeds it meets all our expectations, especially in terms of build quality and anti-theft protection. Nobody can take it off the bike after it is locked. On the other hand, the (small) person who has to wear it while riding always mumbles "Fu!" when he has to wear it. What about the effectiveness of the reflective fabric (shown in white)? Bright as a flame, even

    We need four more chain links, IMO

    The chain is strong and probably very difficult to cut. The links are round, not square, which is missing. Very thoughtful. The chain is comfortable to wear like a belt - this bit works well! The lock has several features that you may or may not like: 1. The key is a key with an internal groove on one side. This means there is a right way and a wrong way to insert it, leading to confusion. 2. The lock can only be closed by turning the key. You can't just click the lock. I guess it could be more
