When I took the pants out of the box I was immediately disappointed with their appearance because they "looked" like they were too tight. I'm 5"1 and 175 lbs. These pants are so comfortable and the material is stretchy so you can move easily. The only downside for me is the fact that they look tight on my body (I was thinking of adding extra going tall for a looser fit so if you are my size and height and loose clothing go that route) but its not. They are definitely smaller than the size given by the manufacturer in the description (so it's not clear why people have responded to questions saying they are true to size because they are not). Compression pants should fit snugly, but the seam under the waistband is narrow, so putting them on is not a problem for very slim people, but not ideal for tummies.
