This replacement cable is almost identical to the standard cable but slightly shorter. Length aside, it appears to be well made and should perform just as well as the original. I would recommend this item.

I have several bikes so getting an extra cable was a lot cheaper than another hit air vest! Installation was easy. Remove the seat and attach it to the frame member. Make sure it's loose on the right side and don't forget to reinstall the seat!

the wire itself was ok but the locking mechanism was broken. The photo on the left (with details only) shows the bottom half of the collar unthreaded - the screw had no grip, so wouldn't settle. my old cable I only used this to tighten a new wire. You can see the threads in the middle of the clip.

I needed a replacement after crashing into a deer at 60mph and flying/sliding about 200ft. The vest did its job perfectly, just a little frayed. All I had to show at the time of the accident was a small bruise the size of a dime. After an accident at high speed, the line should be changed. The rubber grommet was torn in one place, but the core remained intact. NEVER DRIVE WITHOUT YOUR AIRBAG!
