While it may be a dollar or two cheaper than a Tetra Whisper air pump for 10 gallon tanks and comes with a few accessories, it is less than 1/3 strength . I have three lines coming from my Tetra air pump through fittings and all three lines have more air flow than the single line coming from that air pump. Disappointing

Received this air pump to work with a sponge filter. He had enough strength to give him life. The one-way valves were crap and the pump couldn't work through them for life. Also much louder than other pumps. Sent back in the end because it doesn't seem to be pushing out enough air given the two outlets. Probably designed for one, but given two and it just can't deliver the air it needs to work efficiently.

Ordered this after bringing home another model from the pet store that was advertised as quiet but wasn't quiet enough. But it is really quiet - the bubbles are louder than the pump. It's also great that it comes with a simple airflow adjustment nozzle, which is more than enough for one Aeroston and can easily manage two or more. Very happy with the purchase.

The pump is producing much more air than I need for a very small volume application. I'm sure he has enough beans for a decent aquarium. One star deduction because the accessories are usually terrible. The tube is creepy - and it will turn yellow within a week if exposed to anything. I had a tiny 5-10 gallon air pump for my 20 gallon tank. To be honest it worked but eventually broke. I had a couple of old pumps almost 20 years old and they worked. However, they were very noisy. Just installed mine, took 3 minutes and works great. GENERAL - I have a 3.5 gallon and needed an oxygen source. I didn't know what to expect from twenty bucks, but I couldn't have asked for better. ADJUSTMENT - Comes with an extra hose for larger aquariums, I cut mine to fit exactly. Comes with a T-tip, if you want to run two bubblers, use the extra hose.
