Works for Intel 9260 in Mini PCIe slot

Used to install the Intel 9260 Wi-Fi card in the WWAN Mini-PCIe Precision M6700 slot. What can I say? It allows me to use a newer Wi-Fi card on an older system. Note that M.2/NGFF WiFi cards have different antenna connectors than Mini PCIe WiFi cards (U.FL and MHF4), so you may need an adapter for that as well. I found the screws included in the package were too small to install the Intel Wi-Fi card (it popped right out), so I found another screw that worked.

Pros
  • Support system bus interface: PCIe and USB2.0.
Cons
  • I'll write later

M1 support screws too long

I noticed that the M1 fastener was not pressed into the PCB. The included screws were too long to fix the M.2 card tightly. As a result, I looked for another vendor with a better design.

Pros
  • Allows the user to use an M.2 Socket 1 module for an mPCIe slot on a desktop or laptop computer.
Cons
  • -

Worked very well with all except AC-9560 but has ONE major design flaw

I have tested using the following network cards: 1. IntelยฎWireless-AC 92602. IntelยฎWi-Fi 6 AX2003. Intelยฎ Wireless-AC 9560 - WILL NOT WORK with mPCIe slot - appears to be WRONG BUS PROTOCOL FOR CARD4. Intelยฎ Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 All cards that worked worked without modification for the Dell Vostro 1700s, Vostro 1720s, Vostro 3500s, Vostro 3550s, Precision 6600, and Latitude 6430 I tested. The Vostro 1700 has a very unique problem with its mPCIe bus and mPCIe's USB-based Bluetooth couldโ€ฆ

Pros
  • PCIeMiniCard support: IEEE WLAN802.11a/b/g/n, 802.11d, 802.11e, 802.11i, 802.11h, 802.11ac
Cons
  • Some minor issues
