I like the fact that it mates with existing ventilation controls and doesn't interfere with the HVAC. Unfortunately it's made of flimsy plastic which broke after 5 weeks 🤔 The small tab that snaps into place on the dashboard is either broken from vibration or just doesn't support iPhone Plus. This will get a better view if it's more durable.

Very simple phone stand but very effective. It attaches to the vent above the emergency light button, putting the phone in a very accessible position. The only criticism is that this holder makes a rattling noise when driving over bumps, since the contacts are made of plastic. If they had gummed them up a bit it would have been a lot better.

Easily and securely attaches to the m 2016 x1. The emergency light is still there. The Pixel 3 is from Fit, but it also fits and is larger (the design where the weight of the phone pushes the mount against the side of the phone is really good (it also allows for different sized devices). Drive hole and some of the ( numbered) shortcut keys, but it's a good compromise for a convenient location with minimal impact on the overall design/feel that I would recommend

Update I bought one and the pins that held it in place broke. I quickly found a replacement. I had a replacement after a month and 3 days and it broke again. I will look for another option. I appreciate the convenience but can't afford to change it every few weeks. This is a great phone holder. It fits my X1 perfectly. The base of the phone holder snaps directly over the dash alarm button. Once removed, you have access to ventilation controls and emergency lighting. The version I bought has a metal phone holder with carbon fiber stickers. 2 "arms" on the side pivot up (gear mechanism) and hold the phone in place when the phone's weight pushes down.
