Beautiful, vigorous buttercup.

I like the way it looks and that it doesn't break. I like the size best. He says it fits standard buttersticks, but barely. If you take out some oil and it slides up at all, e.g. by lifting the corner of the oil, it will touch the wooden lid. I don't like it, but since the lid is also washable, I'll be careful. I looked at many and I liked this design and material the best. I can't have plastic or glass of any kind or it will eventually break so it's perfect and would get 5 stars if there was a

Cute and functional

Been watching this for a long time and before I buy it. I'm so glad I bought it! It's very cute and functional. I hate smearing cold oil on anything because it doesn't work and with this you can safely store your oil at room temperature. There's a seal on the lid so nothing can get inside, including those damn little sugar ants. In addition, the lid will not fall off when you move it for cleaning or take it to the table. The lid is made of bamboo and doesn't look ugly when oiled, just wipe itโ€ฆ

I LOVE this butter dish! Attractive - without problems with mold or rancid oil.

To try my new butter dish before our big family dinner on Christmas Eve, I place a fresh stick of SALTED BUTTER (salted butter is the key to freshness) on a plate and cover it with a heavy bamboo lid to protect it and set it on the plate. I checked every day and the oil looked so fresh as if I had just applied it. On Christmas Eve our whole family came from the Christmas Eve service and we sat down for dinner of chicken noodles and homemade rolls. I put in softened butter (from a butter dish)โ€ฆ

STURDY & SPACIOUS Fridge OIL CONTAINER WITH NO SPACE FOR OIL

The ceramic-coated thick metal base is elegant and durable. The solid bamboo platter easily converts into an oil serving platter. Since bamboo is exceptionally hard compared to a kitchen knife, it is unlikely to be damaged if butter is cut into it. (Note: bamboo cutting boards will dull sharp kitchen knives. Since butter knives aren't inherently sharp, using bamboo as the cutting surface is ideal in this case of using butter.) I love that this butter dish can hold an entire stick. Butter and aโ€ฆ

TERRIBLE DESIGN: KITCHEN AND DINING

I bought this product without much thought. This is a butter dish. How could you ruin a bowl of butter? This court. With lid. To keep your oil clean. Oh how wrong I was. The high sides mean you can't slice the butter straight into the butter to get a crispy separation for your slice, no big deal, there are things you can do to negate this. Unfortunately, they are not prepared here. The inside of the bowl is completely smooth, so whether you have "West Coast" or two "East Coast" sticks of butter
