To try my new butter dish before our big family dinner on Christmas Eve, I place a fresh stick of SALTED BUTTER (salted butter is the key to freshness) on a plate and cover it with a heavy bamboo lid to protect it and set it on the plate. I checked every day and the oil looked so fresh as if I had just applied it. On Christmas Eve our whole family came from the Christmas Eve service and we sat down for dinner of chicken noodles and homemade rolls. I put in softened butter (from a butter dish) and it went quickly. Everyone raved about how much they prefer softened butter to the cold jar I usually pull out of the fridge. The superb quality of this buttered dish makes it perfect for family dinners for years to come.
