🧥 Black Powder Coated Coat Rack by Home Basics Review

I ordered 2 of these and both were about the same. A little disappointed with the overall quality. The legs weren't balanced (tighten the screw as tight as you can), so it wobbles a bit. Some of the hooks had rust from being in the box (I think). The paint on one of the hooks was also damaged. The assembly drawing wasn't clear (should be an easy assembly but there was no point in following the instructions).

The delivery was on time and the hanger offers about what I expect from it. So far it's 4 stars. Honestly as long as it stands upright and holds my coats I'm fine but I have to say it wobbles a little and assembly has shown that the holes that should have been used to drive the screws in are were not available. not big enough. . Trying to assemble it without extra tools was a bad idea, I removed some of the paint around those holes. Again, this isn't for demonstration purposes, so I don't care,

This coat hanger is exactly what I was looking for now that winter is here and my family needed something quick to put their coats on quickly and in an organized manner. The color is black, so it goes with any style. I have it in the corner near the entrance to my apartment and it looks great. I was able to assemble it myself, and I'm not strong in this matter. When I came to this new company I was told that their hangers had been reordered and I shouldn't hold my breath. So I decided to get my own. I was taken to work. This hanger is pretty good for the price, but if it's going to be prominently displayed or heavily used you might want to consider a more durable hanger. I'm a teacher and last year my class didn't have a closet for me so I just use it for my jacket, a sweater just in case and an umbrella. It doesn't have to look pretty, it just has to work. This product was the worst building experience I have ever had. I finally got it together but it's shaky and I know it will be replaced sooner or later. The instructions are just drawn pictures, not written instructions, but that's okay. What was bad was the design. You have to screw on each coat hook, and the only thing keeping the hook from landing on the screw is a small piece of plastic, not even an inch long, with two prongs.
