I just drank my first batch of moonshine from this and it worked great. The only problem I see is rusting on the outside of the barrel and where there are signs of wear that were there when I received it.

Bought for a brewery, same keg that comes with the brewery but without the vent plug. The description says it comes with 2 stoppers, not 1 with a plastic cap (top) and the other is pourable. The cap as shown in the ad is not a plug. The Picobrew model comes with the correct plugs including a carbonation plug/plug.

Great little kegs to brew yourself! It's fantastic with the Nostalgia Homecraft on Tap Growler. This is my second order for 5 kegs and I will be buying more. The only reason for a star deduction is that the second order of three didn't come with the two piece connector my system requires. With them came the first order. Contrary to other reviews, mine were all well packaged and looked spotless.

This keg comes with a lid but I would buy a second lid. It also comes with a low gravity spout at the bottom of the barrel which I used once when my CO2 system broke down. I brew in small batches and condition in a keg and then bottle through the Avanti system. Two of these fit into the Avanti/Igloo Mini Kegerator. They can be used alone with spouts and work well with the Avanti/Igloo system.

I figured it shouldn't rust as it's designed to hold liquids. I bought it in June and in October it started to rust at the bottom (where the seam is) and up the side seam. to. I painted it with Rustoleum paint (3 times already, let's see if the 3rd time works forever - gray instead of transparent). Shame it's rusting otherwise we love it and my husband keeps bottling it at breweries!
