Must be used 3 feet off the ground.

Installed outdoor lights in the yard and need something with a remote control. That fits the bill. We just plugged it in and were ready to use it. My biggest complaint is that it has to be a certain distance (3 feet) from the ground. I wanted to plug it directly into an outside outlet that doesn't meet those height requirements (1 foot standard height). I understand the height must be for safety reasons, but it was difficult to set elsewhere.

Pros
  • remote switch. The long-distance signal works through walls and doors up to 100 feet away. Remote control sockets with wireless remote control. Wireless power switch. Wireless remote electric switch.
Cons
  • Not sure

I love this handy device.

I love this handy device. I have lights installed under my patio and when I need to go to my backyard at night, I press the remote while I'm in my house and the lights under my patio connected to this device turn on easily. This saved my head from hitting the deck support beams because I no longer had to crouch to get under the deck to connect the light string. I use the light more now as I don't have to turn it on and off when I'm done and stumbling in the dark.

Pros
  • Outdoor power switch with remote control. Eliminate unnecessary standby power consumption and reduce power consumption. Outside socket with remote control. remote switch. Socket with switch.
Cons
  • I have doubts

Saved from meager blueprints

So last year we built a house in Phoenix. One thing I didn't pay attention to was the number of outlets in my garage. After we moved in, I started topping up the garage with my power tools, air compressor, and headlights. I realized that the builder had decided to (1) install one outlet on the wall for the entire garage. What kind of?!?! When I wanted to add LED lights (4) on top to better illuminate the work area, I came across this article. I had an outlet open upstairs that had a garage door

Pros
  • Outdoor socket remote control - wall switch with radio remote control, radio socket. Remote control for the lamp. Remote controlled Christmas lights. Radio socket for outdoor use. Street lighting with remote control. External switching on and off. Detachable outlet on the street.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
