🪑 Modern Black Homelegance Elwell Wedged Chairside Table: Functional and Stylish Addition to Any Living Space Review

This is a great table for the price. I'll edit my review if I find the finish isn't as worn as I hope. But it's all solid wood, easy to assemble and it has everything I need for it. The assembly instructions were very minimal and simple, but they were sufficient. The appearance is very beautiful and durable. The packaging looked good and there were no dents/scratches/issues on the table. I look forward to seeing it as a table between our two chairs.

The box was a little wrinkled (there was a lot of clear tape around the edges) - this is the box the product comes in and a different shipping box probably could have been used. The styrofoam protected the wood so I couldn't see any damage. Assembly is easy - if you're familiar with IKEA you'll know exactly what to do (a few screws, washers and an Allen key). voila. 2 washers were missing - I looked everywhere to make sure they hadn't fallen down somewhere…

Firstly, the oak is a little darker than shown. Second, the top is not a rectangle but a trapezoid (15 3/4" wide at the back and 11 1/2" wide at the front). The processing quality hardly corresponds to the price. I've seen better from a high school store class. The one we received had screw holes misaligned in some cases, most of these holes were never reamed leaving wood fibers protruding, the color of the top and shelf were slightly different, the connections between the shelf and the legs…

It was worth the money! There were several other tables I looked at that were cheaper. But I went for the extra price hoping for a better and more durable construction. And this table was delivered. It is extremely durable. Assembly required. And it comes in a flat box. But it is very easy to assemble. I didn't find the instructions until I was done. So you can see it's pretty simple.
