The packaging failed after a year (and how to fix it temporarily)

the packaging failed after a year, so the thing quickly drips around the shaft when it is switched on. Braces don't help. This is a non-standard part so I have to replace it entirely. Addendum: I fixed it by flipping the damaged rubber grommet. That will probably take another year.

Pros
  • quality assembly
Cons
  • old

LEAK! It was a good idea, but when I put the hose on, the back pressure caused it to leak at the handle. Guess the return time (60 days) has expired. If you get one, make sure you install it and check the pressure. Replace PITA again. I managed to remove the handle and threaded end nut, it was very loose. For now it seems to be working, it should have been assembled correctly from the start.

Pros
  • Sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive

UPDATED rating. went from 5 stars to ZERO! complete rubbish

much better quality than i expected. Use a 1/2" Sharkbite fitting and you have a solderless replacement for a leaking outdoor faucet. Updated for 6 months. UPDATED REVIEW: Well it's been out of service for 6 months. Turn the valve, NO WATER. replaced with a company block. In the summer it began to fail. Turned the water on and the water flowed after a few seconds as if the valve was sticking. Now it is stuck closed. LOSS OF TIME AND MONEY

longer than the rest

I change them often because of frost in the basement, and the longer the better1 Late in winter it leaks from the "anti-siphon" valve. I'm switching to another brand. To be fair valves are hard to work with in this location, probably 8 of these have been replaced in the last 3 decades but a year is a bit disappointing for a 14 inch valve and a well heated basement and it was not even -30 outside last winter. , but that "anti-siphon" valve is on the outside and I don't think it's self-draining…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use

Failed within a month.

When I first bought this the build quality seemed decent. Installation was easy, especially with shark bite connectors. I have a B-Hyve Hose Orbital Timer on this nozzle and nothing else. After about 3 2-3 weeks of use, it started leaking BEHIND the flange. For about a week (since my last check) water has been flowing INSIDE my wall near the foundation in my underground. So now I have water damage (especially since my previous faucet also failed, hence this purchase). It's awful and I suggest…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good frost-free window sill

Pretty good window sill. Let me point out that this is not a quarter turn block. As described, it's fairly easy to install, and your local dealer has an extra low-profile gasket in case it ever needs to be replaced. They are easy to understand once you have to work with them. The only downside I see is the sill it attaches to the house, maybe a bit further around to cover the old types of non-freezing window sills you might be replacing. Also everything on the two I have installed works great…
