longer than the rest

I change them often because of frost in the basement, and the longer the better1 Late in winter it leaks from the "anti-siphon" valve. I'm switching to another brand. To be fair valves are hard to work with in this location, probably 8 of these have been replaced in the last 3 decades but a year is a bit disappointing for a 14 inch valve and a well heated basement and it was not even -30 outside last winter. , but that "anti-siphon" valve is on the outside and I don't think it's self-draining or anything. The water side of the valve is protected by a 14" inner diameter.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliable
