Great bookshelf. - Bookshelves

I have a lot of books. hundreds. I needed more space and didn't want to buy any more scrap Ikea chipboard that I've been making for years. So I spent money on this metal bookshelf. I've seen these things in offices for years and decided I wanted one. I do not regret it. This item is durable and will last a long time. In this case, metal is definitely superior to wood.

Arrived late in open box/crate, missing parts

Arrived 3 days later than originally expected. Came in an open carton/box. I had to search the shelves for tongues but one is missing! lv. I will contact the seller for a replacement. It would be nice to use ALL the shelves on arrival. Also, some of the shelves are scratched. Not a big deal because it's kept in the closet, but still not very pretty.

Very handy bookshelf

I use a bookshelf to store folders - I needed a lot more space. This office has space. It's not heavy, but it holds what I need. I have a 6 shelf model so it is large and needs to be wall mounted especially if you are in an area where earthquakes are a possibility. It has arrived in great shape and is working for me. The shelves are easy to adjust if you read the instructions.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Cumbersome

the assembled case was well packed and fixed on a wooden pallet. An assembly is not required. The packaging was easy to open, the box was undamaged. It's strong and sturdy enough, yet light enough for my daughter and I to move around. It doesn't sway, the shelves are adjustable within a limited range but adequate for my needs. It is not a beauty item. No design prizes will be awarded. But it will satisfy my needs for keeping current files, books, and papers in my home office.

  • practical item
Cons

I order another.

It looks ugly but it holds a lot of books and is pretty sturdy. I put heavier books on the bottom. I received mine from Shoplet through the Revain marketplace and it was delivered quickly. Perfectly packed. Well padded top and bottom caps with each edge well padded. it was easy to unpack. If you leave the bottom cover on, it can be easily moved and placed on the carpet where you want to place it. Of course, it was nice not to have to bother assembling one of those short-lived particle boards I…

Great bookcase but consider another seller; crumpled in transit

i left the seller a bad review because the bookshelf came assembled and the bookshelves were assembled but came loose during transit and all sorts of scratches on the inside of the bookshelf and even small dents left on the back wall; nothing the books themselves couldn't hide, except for a tiny (fingerprint-sized) area where the paint had peeled off the outside. But the bookcase itself is great. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the clips holding the shelves in place are…

This is a very good bookcase although the shelves are so-so.

This is a very good bookshelf although the shelf brackets are unreliable and the shelf bracket fell off while I was adding things. You should slide it down and it would snap into place, but it's not secure so I put a shelf on top of it. It doesn't pop out, but because the top part of the shelf has a slope that goes inwards, so to speak. So it's actually safer to be wrong than right. As you can see all my textbooks and extra books are now neatly organized on the top shelf so I don't have to…
