Works well. Was surprised it had to be programmed by a professional. Luckily a local cut out the key and programmed it for $40. Just remember that there will be additional costs. I would call around to see what people are asking for.

I bought a minivan in 2015 but there was only one key. Got it and hired a locksmith to program it. It took 15 minutes. Cost me $90. In addition, the cost of this remote control was less than half the cost of contacting the retailer. The locksmith said it was not OEM but aftermarket and not a real Honda. I don't care as long as it works and it works.

$saved by purchasing and programming from a local locksmith rather than the dealer. Would have been 5 stars but the fairly standard CR2032 battery needed replacing immediately. The car showed this after the initial programming. It's a bit difficult to keep the battery secure according to some other reviews, but the back cover keeps the battery in place as well.

Be careful buyers. After reading all the reviews on this keychain I bought it knowing I was taking a risk. I had to take it to a Honda dealer to have it programmed for an additional fee. Then it turns out that they cannot connect the key fob for programming. Honda wants $250 for a new key. It was a complete bust and now I can't get it back. Very disappointed and I would not recommend this part.

Took it to a locksmith, cost me $105. Cut and program the key. Saved me $100. from buying it from them for $250. Honda's seat cost $300. Works perfectly in my car. I don't have programmable memory slots 1 and 2, so I can't talk about that. We lost the key and it was hard to only have 1, that worked great. If we need a different key, I'll use a different one. When I bought this key fob, I knew exactly the year, make and model of my car. The seller's website recognized all the perimeters and recommended the keychain I bought. As soon as I got the key fob I went to the programming page and was told that the year, make and model were not listed. I ended up at a Honda dealership where they had to program the fob and charge a new battery as the one that came with the fob didn't work.
