Cheap wood held together mainly by the tension of the screws.

The shoe rack arrived with a slightly broken slat due to a broken wooden pin. The top of one of the "handles" was also spinning freely as if loose. I was able to reattach the broken bar and the tension of the screws and each end piece was just enough to hold it in place but definitely very cheap build quality. The second rod came off the other shelf the same way. Both skirting boards where the screws go in, the torque when turning the screws made them pop out of the frame. Again, once Iโ€ฆ

Light, simple, great product for the price. (You may need a drill.)

This is a really good shoe rack for the price. It is light, thanks to the small handles it is very easy to move. A couple of holes (1 on each side) weren't deep enough for the screws so I drilled them about 4mm deeper and the screws fitted fine. Assembly took about 10 minutes including drilling. No wood cracks or anything as I didn't try to force the screws or over tighten them. Overall a good buy for the price in my opinion. Seems strong enough to last! PS If you don't have access to a drillโ€ฆ

JUST DON'T DO IT! - Clothing and wardrobe storage

Negative feedback ignored; deserved what i got i guess. It shouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. Insert the 8 screws provided. Instead it took a few hours, lots of $$$ and a trip to the hardware store. Dry, thin, cheap bamboo split immediately, although I was very careful. I was thinking maybe just one attachment point, but no, I disconnected each once the screw was about halfway. To avoid backpacking I bought brass 90 degree elbows (2 per pack for $1.88, I need 2 packs) along with woodโ€ฆ

I am very happy with this

This is a well made and attractive shoe rack. It was very easy to assemble. I read many reviews and came to the conclusion that it is worth trying. I'm so glad I did. I didn't have any of the issues that some of the other reviewers had. During assembly, nothing was deformed and did not hang out. The holes were deep enough that I didn't have to use a drill. The holes matched well. No parts were missing and all eight screws were the same size. Since many of the reviewers mentioned that the allenโ€ฆ

The screws are not all the same

The goods arrived on time. The shoe rack itself looks good and the wooden parts don't look cheap. Seems durable. Overall the quality of the shoe rack is great but that's where it ends. The big problem is the screws. Along with the wooden parts, the kit contained 6 screws and an Allen key. All 5 screws were the right size and fit well in the holes except for one odd one that annoys me so much. One screw is missing the ribs so it just slides down and I can't get it through the hole in the woodโ€ฆ
