🍃 Honeywell UV2400U1000 24V Ultraviolet Air Purifier Review

The guy came and installed it and charged us $250 for the installation. The whole house started smelling awful after a few hours and we flipped the breaker to turn it off! I don't know that it glows, but I've read many posts that said the UV would fry the camera and fiberboard and/or destroy the inside of the unit. I'm not an air conditioning specialist, but shouldn't this product only be sold to people who have received certified training?

Installation is a little awkward if you don't know what you're doing. Air duct, the magnet is amazingly strong, saving you time and effort. 4 does not run 5 because it came with missing parts, I didn't need them anyway but all parts are supposed to be in the box. stinks all the time. A few days after the device was attached, the odors disappeared. Very happy with the unit, remember the bulb needs to be replaced once a year so make a note of when you installed the unit. Overall I recommend!

My old unit installed by the local air conditioning company in 2013 when the unit was installed died and we were looking for a replacement. At the top of the list was the brand and the fact that the replacement bulbs were reasonably priced. Shut off the power, removed the front panel of my AC unit, removed the old unit, drilled a new larger hole where the old one was and connected the 24v ballast to the 24v coil. Turned on the system and we were in business. Let's see if the lamp lasts a year.

My air conditioning company has been pestering me for a few years trying to sell me their $700 unit which they claim is a professional UV light to prevent mold growth. White powder on interior surfaces is nothing to worry about. I don't know exactly what has changed in the last 6 months but the interior has started to take on a black tint on many surfaces.
