The filter head where the clip secures the filter is tapered to allow the clip to slide. There is no way to fix it properly.

For some reason the end that goes over the air intake is tapered so when trying to tighten the yoke on it it just slips off the end. I ended up having to use Dawn to get the remaining oil off of it and then tape it around before I could tighten it down. I bought it because it had next day delivery.

This filter will not work on older Polaris models that require a clip to hold the filter in place. The clip is simply slipped over the filter and then the filter can fall off and dust the engine. .On newer models put the filter back in place and close the door - be careful not to let the filter slip out of position - it could cost you $2900 to fix the engine if it gets dusty!

I was trying to install it on the air intake of a Polaris Sportsman 570. The filter collar, where it connects to the air intake, is tapered instead of flat. That way the clip won't stay in place when you tighten it. This will cause the filter to fall out when the clamp is tightened. If anyone can get it to stay in place I wouldn't trust them as it will fall off while driving.
