Bought this for our 10 year old daughter as she thought it looked cute and fun. When we received it she put it on and liked the way it looked. Wife liked that it was built into the shorts so no worries. I would say that the red color is not bright red but more of a reddish orange tinge. More red than orange, but not the main red. Beautifully fitted skirt that flutters in the wind or during sports. Pockets are a nice feature. The colors are spot on, brightness and a cool pattern. The only gripe is that the material isn't one of those modern moisture-wicking materials, it feels like pure polyester which can get a bit too hot on hot days. Time will tell when we switch to daylight saving time.
