Good product, relatively easy to install.

Installation is pretty easy and works great. It was a little tricky to route the wiring into the taillight compartment but other than that I'm impressed with this kit. No claims from me.

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Volume

Easy installation

Incorrect connection instructions. The first technician said they were right! tries to reconnect. did not work. The second technician gave the right answer: no wiring required, just plug it in. Spent an hour and a half and $80 for a mechanic.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Good product, best hitch accessory

I was going to install it myself but had a motorcycle accident just before installing it. My mechanic said it was easy to install that he didn't charge me for it. That works great. I will buy another one for my other cars.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Nothing I really like, it's ok

Works well, installation is relatively easy

My hands might have been a bit big for this installation, but it was still pretty easy. I popped this kit into my 2013 Soul during my 30 minute lunch break. Works just as expected. My only suggestion is to buy extra zip ties and maybe a roll of aluminum tape to ensure the wiring stays in place. Good buy.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Warning - this is for a 2010 model

I have a 2013 Soul and although the plugs match this harness does not have an additional ground wire. According to the instructions it is from 2010. The difference is probably due to the LED rear lights on the new model. I had to add a wire to make it work. Note that the Revain add-on does not include a year.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some minor things

Lasted 3 years. for external accessories

Bought in 2013 was very easy to install and worked well for about 3 years. Then the right indicator on the trailer no longer works and when the headlights are switched on, the fuse for the left parking light blows. I reassembled the trailer and thought that was the problem, but it turned out not to be. Still works well when not turning right or driving at night. Look for an alternative product to replace this.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Nothing here

Shortly after the warranty expired, it just stopped working.

It appears to be an excellent product. I found it fairly easy to install on my 2013 Kia Soul. I have used it a few times around town with my caravan and it has worked well. About 2-3 weeks after the one month warranty expired, the kit just stopped working. I pulled out the flashlight to get to the control module and found that the module was getting all the correct signals, but nothing came out the other side. I have to assume they won't all do this and that's the only reason I gave those 2…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Low maintainability

The block is not the same as in the photo.

Not as shown. Installation should take 10-20 minutes if you remove the taillights and connect the gizmos - no further wiring required. The actual device came with a red power lead and a built in fuse with instructions on how to connect to the battery, run the wire under the car and connect to the box. For real? Under guardianship with bare wire? Even with plastic ties (there are 3 of them - that's enough) it doesn't sound quite right and of course it's not easy. NOT what the product description

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Damaged
