Thank you for making these key cases. My old keys fell apart and Chevy couldn't find a replacement, and even if they did, it would be expensive. They were surprised when I told them I got them on Revain. I had to think a bit, try and watch videos online, but they matched perfectly and I made two keys. I didn't watch the video but read some comments here about removing the old key and replacing it with a new remote. The small pin was the most difficult to pull out, but a pin used on a bulletin board and needle nose pliers worked well. Make sure the spring is one turn so the key comes out quickly (it was a little difficult to hold the key, wind it up, and then put the cap on, but I managed it in about 2 minutes. Be patient when dismantling the old key. It welds together. Have a Dremel or razor blade ready to gently pry off the old key shell. Remove the roll pin from both the old and new key shanks. Clean the shank of the old key well, insert it into the new part and insert the roll pin. I would recommend putting a dab of glue on the bow tie before putting it on. I replaced the plates and blades of two broken keyrings with this bowl. The first was incredibly frustrating. I didn't know anything about the screw and it was incredibly difficult to open. Sliding the key pin back and forth also causes pain. The 2nd keychain was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
