Great solution for my keychain. The original key fob was broken when I received the key, but I received this product and a few days later I had it replaced with a factory key. It's easy to replace parts with a new case and looks great. Great buy and unlike some other kits it has a Honda logo on the back. 10 minutes and $8 to restore my keychain to factory condition and quality.

Overall the lid seems solid and works great but only after grinding the metal key to properly fit the plastic adapter. Before grinding, the hole in the metal part of the key did not line up properly with the plastic case, preventing the screw from being properly inserted or tightened. I used a Dremel metal sanding tool and trimmed maybe less than 1mm from the bottom of the metal T-shape to allow it to fit fully into the adapter. Very poor quality of the Chinese plastic that is crumbling. I bought one of these and after a few months the plastic on the front of the key cracked and fell apart. Sure, the design of this Honda key is poor, but my original Honda keys lasted about 8 years before cracking. These cheap Chinese fakes last about 30 days with normal use. This is not mentioned in the manual. When you open your old key case, there is a plastic chip compartment on one side and a battery compartment on the other. Once you've removed the silicone holding the electronics, flip the case halfway and tap on the table to remove the chip holder shell. Do the same with the other side that contains the battery.
